Tools used to extract woman from car in Crook County

PRINEVILLE, Ore. — A fire and rescue unit used extraction tools to help a 51-year-old Madras woman out of her car following a crash Sunday night.

The incident occurred after the rear right wheel came off the woman’s car.

The Crook County sheriff’s office says the tools were used to free the woman from the wreckage on O’Neil Highway. 

She was airlifted to St. Charles Hospital in Bend, where she was treated and released.
