KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — An 18-year-old man was arrested in Klamath Falls earlier this week after a warrant was issued from Multnomah County court.

The charge against Shannon Anthony Lyons Jr. is murder. It is in connection with the death of 19-year-old Vinesh Ram Prasad of Portland in August 2011. Prasad died of a gunshot wound in what is believed to be a gang-related killing.

Merrill Resident Arrested 

A Merrill boy was arrested this week on charges of sexual abuse, according to the Klamath County Jail report.

17-year-old Cody Joseph Carleton is charged with two counts of sexual abuse, rape and sodomy plus a count of sexual penetration with an object. His bail is $100,000.
