Lady Owls sweep home weekend; Men snap skid

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — An 11-2 run to end the first half helped No. 22 Northwest University to a 76-72 win over Oregon Tech basketball Friday night.

OIT followed that loss with a 71-68 victory over Evergreen State College the next night.  The Owls made all eight of their free throw attempts down the stretch to win the game – their second in Cascade Collegiate Conference play.

Josh Johnson had a double-double 17 points and 12 rebounds for Oregon Tech.

Lady Owls Keep Rolling Through CCC

There were two big wins for the Oregon Tech Lady Owls this weekend, with OIT defeating Northwest 87-39 on Friday before winning 64-43 over Evergreen State College on Saturday. OIT distanced itself from Evergreen with a 15-1 second half run.

Karissa Dixon had 26 points on Friday night and 11 on Saturday to help Oregon Tech move to 13-5 overall and 7-2 in the conference.

Both Oregon Tech teams go to Eastern Oregon on Friday and College of Idaho on Saturday.
