High school basketball match-ups Tuesday night are highlighted by the in-town battle between Triad and Hosanna Christian in the Mountain Valley League.

The Triad girls have won five of their last six games, starting the year 7-4 including an undefeated 4-0 beginning in the MVL. Hosanna Christian is likewise 4-0 in conference.

Hosanna Christian head coach Tony Bush and his team will see a familiar face Tuesday night against Triad.

Hosanna Christian won all three meetings last year by an average of about 10 points. Tip off from Hosanna High School is now 6:30 p.m. after moving up a half hour.

Triad Boys Look To Keep Win Streak Alive

The boys game features Triad (10-1; 4-0 MVL) and Hosanna Christian (9-3; 3-1). The Mountain Valley League will not have a conference tournament these season and Triad head coach Jason Young says that adds emphasis to Tuesday’s match-up.

Hosanna Christian’s league loss came in the opener 51-44 to Rogue Valley Adventist. Triad’s only defeat was in the season opener 60-48 to City Christian on Nov. 30.

The boys game was moved up to 8 p.m.
