City streets sledder injured in collision with car

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – A man sledding in a Klamath Falls alleyway Tuesday evening is in a Bend hospital after he slid into a vehicle.

According to Klamath Falls Police, the sledder, 60-year-old Paul D. Murnighan, struck the side of a vehicle going east on Third Street. After the car slowed, a witness informed the driver of the incident before the driver left the scene.

Murnighan was flown from Sky Lakes Medical Center to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend due to his injuries. Police have not found the driver or car from the scene.

The witness described the vehicle as a white, 1990s four-door sedan. Police also remind residents sledding on city streets is a violation of city policy.
