Pacific Power is encouraging customers to be prepared in case high winds expected Thursday cause power outages.
NBC-2 reports high winds Wednesday morning caused 1,600 customers in Butte Falls and other Jackson County areas to lose power for about 15 minutes.
There is a high wind warning in effect for the Klamath Basin until 4 p.m. Friday. Gusts are expected up to 45 mph.
Pacific Power told the TV station customers can prepare with back-up lights, bottled water, blankets and a first aid kit.
