MEDFORD, Ore. — Investigators didn’t describe the cause of death, but Siskiyou County Sheriff Jon Lopey says the case of a body found at the base of a Northern California cliff was “definitely a homicide.”

It involves the body of 34-year-old Michael Christopher MacCallum of Medford who had last been seen near Hilt, Calif., where he’d gone camping.

The body was found Nov. 20.

Lopey says search warrants have been executed in the Medford area, and investigators are talking to people they believe have information about what happened to MacCallum.
