The 2012 Thanksgiving holiday resulted in less fatalities and DUII arrests on Oregon roadways.

Two Thanksgiving Day incidents resulted in deaths – a Portland man who was hit by a car on SE 82nd Avenue and a 44-year-old Elgin man in a crash at the intersection of Highway 204 and Summerville Road.

The total number of reported fatalities are one less than the sum in 2010 and 2011 each.

There were 47 DUII arrests during this year’s reporting period compared to 72 arrests last year.
