Agenda: Football playoffs and girls soccer title match

There are two Basin teams remaining in the OSAA Football State Championship brackets – both are in the bottom two classifications.

Triad sees a rematch with St. Paul on Saturday (960 the Sports Legend – 12:45 p.m.). While the first game was a 70-28 St. Paul win, Triad coach Kyle Petrik says his team is proved they can play with the Buckaroos.

Petrik says there are opportunities to exploit things learned in the first meeting on Saturday.

2A OSAA Football State Championship

Lost River hosts Grant Union in the 2A quarterfinals. Both teams faced close games in the opening round, with Grant Union winning over Regis 29-26 and Lost River defeating Monroe 20-18. It is a 1 p.m. kickoff at Lost River High School in the first meeting between the schools in the postseason.

4A OSAA Girls Soccer State Championship

Mazama girls soccer plays Gladstone in the 4A OSAA State Championship final. It is a match between the last two state champions and it starts at 3:30 p.m. from Liberty High School in Hillsboro.
