Running backs the focus for Oregon, Stanford

PAC-12[1]

The Oregon Ducks are the top-rated team in the Associated Press poll, hosting No. 14 Stanford at Autzen Stadium on Saturday.

Oregon has won the last two meetings by more than 20 points and Stanford head coach David Shaw was asked this week if his team has an Oregon problem when it came to their preparation.

To make the Pac-12 Championship Game, Stanford needs to beat the Ducks, and UCLA next week, plus get an Oregon loss at Oregon State in the final week.

Both running backs – Oregon’s Kenjon Barner and Stanford’s Stepfan Tayler – are averaging more than 100 yards per game. Oregon coach Chip Kelly on the Stanford back.

Game time is 5 p.m. from Eugene on ABC television. ESPN’s College Gameday will broadcast from Eugene from 6 – 9 a.m.
