CURRY COUNTY, Ore. — Near the Oregon-California border on Highway 101, a man was arrested for attempting to elude Oregon State Police Sunday evening.
31-year-old Brett Andrew Carpenter was taken into custody after he traveled 65 miles per hour through a 35 mph zone.
When OSP attempted to pull him over, Carpenter allegedly accelerated to 80 before losing control on a forest road east of the highway.
He is charged with Felony Attempt to Elude and Reckless Driving.
