Owls lose Div. I showdown with Nevada



RENO, Nev. — The Oregon Tech Hustlin’ Owls men’s basketball team played NCAA Division I University of Nevada tough for a full 40 minutes in an 86-75 loss at the Lawlor Events Center Tuesday.

The Owls put four players in double figures led by Mihajlo Matic’s 19 points on five three-pointers. Josh Wiseman scored 14 on 6 of 11 shooting while Brandon Bautista and Derek Evans put in 11 and 10 off the bench, respectively.

Oregon Tech led early by five before Nevada went out to a 20-point edge with less than four minutes to play.
