KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — There are new details regarding the shooting near Keno last weekend.
15-year-old Carson McDowell is accused of shooting and killing 15-year-old Mason Tucker over the weekend at Tucker’s home.
On Monday, NBC-2 reported that initial reports were the shooting was accidental, but Klamath County Deputy District Attorney Sharon Forester told the TV station later Monday that “the preliminary investigation indicates that it was not an accident.”
As a result, McDowell was arraigned for first-degree manslaughter.
Tucker was a Henley High student, where professional counselors were available for students on Monday.
