While many Basin teams are in “win-or-you’re-out” scenarios Friday night, Lost River and Bonanza will be playing for the Southern Cascade League 2A championship in Merrill. It is the Spud Bowl, a rivalry game coach Luis Idrogo says his Bonanza team has been eager to play for a long, long time.

Bonanza (3-5, 1-0 conf.) has lost four in a row and Idrogo says he knows his team’s mental ability will be key if they want to beat the 7-2 Raiders.

Game time is 7 p.m.
