BONANZA, Ore. — The second of two bodies found Oct. 18 has been identified as 32-year-old Everardo Mendez-Ceja (photo).
Klamath County Sheriff Tim Evinger released that information Monday evening and said fingerprint comparison was used to ID the body. The announcement came three days after investigators used fingerprints to identify 38-year-old Ricardo Jauregui. Both men were reported missing from California a week before the bodies were found. The men were going to Bonanza to purchase hay or a horse.
Evinger says the county major crime team continues the very active investigation.
