MEDFORD, Ore. — After a year without, Eugene is getting back its Harry & David seasonal call center.
The Medford-based mail-order food company had a seasonal call center in Eugene for more than two decades before shutting it down in 2010.
About 750 employees are expected to be hired for phone order submissions through the winter holidays. Wages will start at $9 an hour, and employees will get a 30 percent discount on online purchases.
The facility is getting updated with fresh paint and carpet. It is 25,000-square feet and workers are setting up computer stations, servers and telecommunications connections.
