ASHLAND, Ore. — Mount Ashland is the recipient of a new grant. The Gardner Grout Foundation gave the ski area $20,000, making it $100,000 from the foundation over the last six years.
Mount Ashland ski area ticket manager Emily Parrish said in a release that the foundation’s grants have helped the organization improve their facilities, including a scanning system implemented last season. She says it helped reduce ticket fraud and improve the ski area’s bottom line.
All the financial support has been used to lower operational overhead and never for expansion purposes. Mount Ashland’s upcoming season will be its 13th as a non-profit.
