KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — There was a ceremony Tuesday to dedicate a new $6 million building at Kingsley Field.
The new Joint Armed Forces Reserve Center will house members of the 173rd Security Forces Squardron, which just returned from a six-month deployment to Afghanistan.
Col. Jeff Silver spoke to a crowd of over 50 people, saying the new structure was a much needed upgrade.
Another structure is still needed to complete the project.
Rep. Greg Walden was on hand. Walden was credited throughout the ceremony for helping secure the funding for the project.
The dedication ceremony came several weeks after the squadron began using the building.
