ASHLAND, Ore. — It’s almost a downhill ride for Cycle Oregon. According to the route details, Thursday cyclists have the Ashland Layover Option. This gives riders an opportunity to ride up to the Mt. Ashland ski area.</p
On Wednesday, cyclists pedaled from Prospect to Ashland, which is about 75 miles. Ingrid Nylen with Cycle Oregon says the non-profit organization started 25-years ago.
About 2,200 cyclists are registered in this year’s ride. Nylen says it’s not only the sights that make the ride special but also the people they meet on the way.
Last weekend, the ride started in Bly. Friday, the riders are pedaling their way back to Klamath Falls for a night’s stay at Moore Park.
