OIT women dominate second half

REDDING, Calif. — A scoreless first half where Oregon Tech outshot Simpson University 11-3 gave way to five second half goals as the Lady Owls soccer team won 5-1 Wednesday. Hayley Smith had the only multi-goal game, netting two for coach Mike Hedlund.

Meghan Drost had a goal and an assist when Rebekah Nisbet scored. Hanna Gil also kicked a goal as OIT improved to 2-1 on the season.

OIT Men’s Soccer Drops 3-1 Decision

The men in action as well against Simpson, losing 3-1. The Owls only goal was by Ashton Betts in the 82nd minute. Oregon Tech is 0-2-1.

The teams play next at Pacific University Sunday starting at noon.
