SWEET HOME, Ore. — A report says a former Sweet Home police officer was arrested by the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office.

Albany Police Department Sgt. Steve Dorn says 32-year-old Randy Gill was taken into custody after being contacted by Klamath authorities last week. Gill is charged with three counts of second-degree theft among other charges. He is accused of allegedly misappropriating funds from the dispatchers and officers union.

Sweet Home police chief Bob Burford told the Albany Democrat-Herald that something seemed wrong, which prompted a request for an investigation. The arrest followed a warrant issued in late July.
