Four new fires sparked by Sunday lightning

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — There are 25 fires burning in Klamath and Lake Counties according to the South Central Oregon Fire Management Partnership. None of the fires are over 1.5 acres except the Summit Fire in the Warner Mountains, which is six acres.

The current numbers include four new fires started Sunday night by lightning.

The 25 fires are burning on land managed by the Fremont-Winema National Forests, BLM-Lakeview, the Oregon Department of Forestry and Sheldon/Hart National Wildlife Refuge Complex.
