Report: PacifiCorp gets additional year on dam removal

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — PacifiCorp will have another year to strike an agreement with Klamath River water users to remove four dams on the river. The Record Searchlight reports that California’s state water agency decided Tuesday to give the company another year.

According to the report, over 100 people traveled to Sacramento to request the dams be removed now. PacificCorp has agreed to remove the dams, but the company spokesman said the year will give them a chance to work out details with other parties to the agreement.
