MAUPIN, Ore. — Authorities in central Oregon have recovered the bodies of two men who fell into the water at White River Falls. Wasco County sheriff’s office undersheriff Lane Magill confirmed that 26-year-old Jonathan Brett McLean of Portland and 15-year-old Caleb Justice of Vancouver-Camas, Wash. were with a church group visiting Tygh Valley when they slipped into the water behind the falls. Police say they were trying to get a photograph.

The day use area was closed to the public. An Oregon State Police release says it will re-open, but did not specify a time frame as of Wednesday morning.
