For the last two years, the Oregon Institute of Technology has held a summer music series. The school brings bands to the Basin throughout June, July and August. With past years showing success, Thursday night kicks off the third season with the return of the Klamath Idol contest.

That is OIT Student Activities Coordinator Chris Frazier. The “adult idol” is a categorical term – for people 16 years or older. Thursday night’s session is the for those 15 and under and it starts at 6 p.m. at the Aspen Grove between Owens Hall and the Martha Ann Dow Center.
