WENATCHEE, Wash. — The Klamath Falls Gems jumped on the Wenatchee AppleSox, taking a 4-0 lead in the second inning, but the East Division leading AppleSox kept fighting back to win 6-4 and sweep the series with Klamath Falls.

With the loss, the Gems fall to 2-16, but have finally past the stretch of the season that is most likely the toughest. So far in West Coast League play, the Gems have only played the two teams in each division at the top of the standings – Corvallis and Bend in the West; Bellingham and Wenatchee from the east.

Next Up: Gems vs Cowlitz – June 26| 7:05 p.m. at Kiger Stadium (6:30 p.m. - 960 the Sports Legend).
