Basin college graduation ceremonies held over weekend

The 2012 Oregon Institute of Technology graduating class is presented

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — It was graduation weekend for both the Oregon Institute of Technology and Klamath Community College.

Traditionally, the KCC graduation takes place indoors. With the increase in enrollment, last year’s graduation was moved outside to accommodate the attendance. KCC spokesman Ryan Brown says this year has another milestone.

KCC’s number of walking graduates increased by more than 50 percent compared to last year. Brown says for many students, the KCC graduation ceremony doesn’t mean it’s the end of their schooling.

For the upcoming school year, Klamath Community College expects to have a slight decrease in enrollment.
