Commencement ceremonies this weekend for KCC, OIT

Friday evening, Klamath Community College will host its commencement ceremony. KCC spokesman Ryan Brown says it’s a record breaking year.

Brown says the college is very excited to have Automotive Service Excellence’s Walt Commons as the keynote speaker.

Traditionally, KCC holds its graduation indoors. Just in the last few years, graduation sizes have increased and the ceremonies – including this year’s – will be in the KCC courtyard at 6 p.m.

Oregon Institute of Technology Graduates Walk Saturday

For the Oregon Institute of Techology, its commencement ceremony is on Saturday. Viewing the Basin sat down with OIT President Dr. Chris Maples and asked him about this year’s festivites.

The ceremony takes place at John F. Moehl Stadium on the OIT Klamath Falls campus beginning at 10 a.m. and Maples says they have been spot-on with the two hour length, not expecting to exceed that this year. It is open to the public.
