Baseball Round-Up: Gems stranding runners

Legion Baseball Lgoo

The Klamath Falls Gems extensive road trip continues in Bellingham, Washington Monday with game two of three against the Bells.

It is a contrast of starts for the two teams. The Bells are now 6-2 following a 13-4 victory against the Gems Sunday. That loss makes Klamath Falls 0-7 in West Coast League games. The problem entering the Bellingham series wasn’t associate head coach Billy Clontz’s team getting runners on base, but getting them in.

The Gems stranded eight base runners Monday, which was just as many as Bellingham, but the Bells outhit Klamath Falls 13-4. In their seven West Coast League games so far, the Gems have left eight or more baserunners stranded.

Game two broadcast Monday night at 6:30 p.m. on 960 the Sports Legend.
