Anglers get more fishing areas

The Fish and Wildlife commissioners are giving an okay to allowing fishing in more bodies of water in Oregon.

10 rivers and one lake are now approved for fishing of wild coho, with the season for most starting Sept. 15.

Anglers will be allowed to keep one wild coho in the Nehalem, Tillamook, Nestucca, Siletz, Yaquina, Alsea, Siuslaw, Umpqua, Coos and Coquille rivers and on Tenmile lakes.
