Gems still can’t find victory

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A three-run inning sounds good in baseball. In the case of the Klamath Falls Gems, it was welcome, but still isn’t solving the team’s issues in seeking their first victory.

Klamath Falls lost to Bellingham 13-4 on Sunday. The Gems scored three runs in the eighth inning to cut a deficit to 8-4 to give Klamath Falls a chance. However, all three runs were walked in during an inning where Bellingham gave up five walks. The Gems only had one run scored on a base hit.
