Researchers come up with new use for dandelion



KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Scientists in the Basin are hoping the dandelion can become a commercial crop. It’s actually a cousin of the dandelion that might provide a new source of natural latex, which is a key component in rubber. The Herald and News reports Klamath Basin scientists are trying to turn the wild Russian dandelion into a crop that’s commercially ready. That could happen in the next decade.
