KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Thomas Spratt is the newest Oregon Tech soccer player, OIT interim head soccer coach Mike Hedlund announced recently.
The Brookings native has signed a letter-of-intent and will join the men’s soccer program beginning this fall.
Spratt was a four-year starting forward for Brookings-Harbor High School, helping the Bruins capture three Far West League titles in his prep career. In a four seasons, Spratt notched 35 goals and dished out 55 assists at BHHS. As a sophomore Spratt was a second-team all-league performer, earning first-team all-league recognition as a junior and senior while also serving as captain in 2010 and 2011. Spratt capped a brilliant soccer career being named team MVP and Far West League MVP last season, along with a First-Team forward selection on the Oregonian’s 2011 4A All-State Soccer Team.
“Thomas attended our recruiting event in April and showed immediate chemistry with the returning players,” said Coach Hedlund. “His speed, quickness and field leadership were obvious. He should have an impact next season and we are excited about having him on the team.”
