KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — The Oregon Institute of Technology plans to save big bucks with new solar panels. Solar City will install the panels as part of a $10.8 million project to be done at no cost to the Oregon University System or Oregon Tech. Estimates project OIT can save $3.3 million per year in energy costs once the panels are up. They’ll be on the hills north of the campus.
