Raw milk’s benefits weighed against the risks

The Oregon Dairy Farmers Association plans to meet this summer with legislators, producers and perhaps state agriculture officials to talk about possibly cracking down on sales of unpasteurized milk in Oregon. An e. coli outbreak last month was traced to a Wilsonville farm and 20 people became sick. At least two children could face long-term complications after acute kidney failure. More regulations are possible. An outright ban is unlikely.
