Man receives prison time after passenger dies

29-year old Marcus Anthony Valentine was sentenced this week to 7 and a half years in prison after a manslaughter conviction. District Attorney Ed Caleb says Valentine caused the death of his passenger when he lost control of his vehicleon Highway 97 in May 2010. Valentine’s blood alcohol content was .11% at the time, according to the District Attorney’s office. Valentine had two prior DUII convictions in Deschutes County.
