Man fined for burning motor home

George Washington on the $1 Bill

The Department of Environmental Quality has issued a fine to a Klamath Falls man for burning what was left of a motor home on his property on Altamont Drive. Furniture, insulation, treated wood, and bags of trash are among the things that burned, and the DEQ says those pose health risks and state law prohibits burning them. Donald Richard Merrill will have to pay $4,162 in fines.
