GRANTS PASS, Ore. — At Distrcit Track, Triad girls were third and Hosanna Christian went sixth while the Triad boys finished sixth and Hosanna Christian eighth.
Triad’s Sarah Estabrook and Kirsten Hankins placed first and second in each the 1500 and 3000 meters to qualify for this weekend’s OSAA Track and Field Championships at Western Oregon University. Hosanna qualified two in the 100 hurdles – Elana Hampton and Emma Thompson. Triad’s Kayli Hankins also makes state.
Gabe Ovgard was victorious in both the 100- and 200-meter races for the Triad boys.
At its district meet, Lakeview boys went third sending Lane Roseberry and Bryce Davis to state. Lakeview’s Sophia Landau won the 400-meter dash and was second in the 200 to qualify for state in both events for the girls.
Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament
Nine total records were broken during the course of the three-day meet, with two Oregon Tech athletes qualifying for nationals during Saturday’s competition.
Kevin Ellingson finished second in the pole vault, while Kassi Conditt and Joelle Swanson both qualified for the NAIA national championships later this month – Conditt in shot put; Swanson in javelin.
Concordia’s men won their seventh straight conference title, as did the women making it six in a row.
