KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — The bracket is out and Oregon Tech softball will open with Madonna (Mich.) at next week’s NAIA National Tournament in Alabama.
Coach Greg Stewart and the No. 7 Owls will see the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference champion on May 17 at 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time to open pool G play. OIT is the pool’s number one seed, while St. Gregory’s (Okla.) and Shorter (Ga.) are the third and second seeds, respectively.
Oregon Tech is 39-7 this season, winning the Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament title, which built some momemtum that junior Jess Plummer said is huge in OIT’s attempt to defend its 2011 national title.
