NEW YORK — The NFL Draft was completed Saturday, with four Oregon Ducks and one Oregon State Beaver selected. UO running back LaMichael James was the highest selection from the schools, going in the second round to San Francisco.

In rounds five, six and seven, respectively, Ducks linebacker Josh Kaddu went to Miami, guard Mark Asper to Buffalo and tight end David Paulson heads to Pittsburgh. Oregon State safety Brandon Hardin went to Chicago in round three.

After the draft, unselected players can sign as free agents with teams. Notable Oregon and OSU players include wide receiver James Rodgers joining his brother in Atlanta, safety Eddie Pleasant to Houston, Seattle signed wide receiver Lavasier Tuinei and OSU linebacker Cameron Collins went to Miami. Oregon’s starting quarterback last season, Darron Thomas, has not signed a free agent deal.

Other signings have offensive tackles Mike Remmers (OSU) signing with Denver and Darrion Weems (Oregon) to Minnesota. Former Oregon cornerback Cliff Harris, who was removed from the team after issues with the law, was signed by Philadelphia. Oregon State punter Johnny Hekker joins Saint Louis.
