Obituary: Paul Ray Hug lost his battle with prostate cancer on January 5, 2012 with his family at his side. He was 73 years old.
Paul was born October 13, 1938 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Ashley Leo and Shirley Mae (Jones) Hug. He graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1956. He spent 9 years in the Army National Guard. He worked for Columbia Plywood and Weyerhaueser before going to work at Southern Pacific as a journeyman electrician where he worked for 30 years. On May 19, 1973, he married Mary Ann Ellefson in Reno, Nevada.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing of all kinds and took great pride in his numerous hunting dogs over the years. He was well known for his garden, and loved passing out vegetables all over town.
Paul is survived by his wife Mary Ann; children Wendy R. Tanner and her husband Curtis, Paula R. Duman, Brent R. Lewis and his wife Priscilla, Casey R. Hug, and Heidi R. Meserve and her husband Brandon; grandchildren Connor Brennan, Dezzarrae, Dannyail, Christopher, and Brandon.
