High School Round-Up: Hidden Valley hands KU first loss

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Skyline baseball teams rounded out the first half of the conference schedule Tuesday, with Klamath Union traveling to face Hidden Valley. Tied 1-1 in the fourth inning, Hidden Valley’s Kyle Garrison doubled to bring in Greg Hurd for the go-ahead run and Hidden Valley scored twice more to win 4-1.

It is the first loss for 6-1 Klamath Union in the Skyline and the first for starting pitcher Kody Kuhlman who pitched four innings, striking out three and allowing five hits. Hurd won to move to 5-0 on the year, striking out five.

The two meet again May 12 in Klamath Falls. KU’s next game is a doubleheader with Henley on Saturday starting at noon.
