High School Round-Up: Henley softball goes for ninth in a row

Skyline Conference softball sees No. 2 Henley trying to extend their winning streak to eight at North Valley Tuesday afternoon.

Phoenix hosts Mazama in hopes of pulling even with the Vikings. Mazama has lost only once in its last seven games – 4-0 to Henley a week ago.

Chiloquin is at Bonanza for the first time, while Lost River plays host to Prospect.

One additional result from the weekend had Tulelake beating Happy Camp 20-1 and 29-5.

Baseball

Phoenix plays at Mazama. The Vikings beat North Valley 10-9 in their first league doubleheader, but have lost three straight. Still, coach Jeff Sturgeon has been pleased with the work his team is putting in this season.

The 960 the Sports Legend broadcast sees Klamath Union at Hidden Valley. KU has won its last nine games and is a perfect 6-0 in conference play, but Tuesday is the Pelicans’ first Skyline game out of the Basin.

Henley tries to win its fourth in a row at 11-3 North Valley. Lakeview plays its second conference game at home against Cascade Christian, while Lost River is at Prospect. The Raiders are 2-0 in Southern Cascade League play so far.

Over the weekend, Tulelake swathed Happy CAmp 19-11 and 12-0.
