Klamath County is faced with tough budget decisions

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Several Klamath County departments have requested additional funds as the budgeting process begins. That includes The district attorney’s office, health department, and Meals on Wheels program. Nothing final has been decided yet, as the county wrestles with whether to allocate funds or save the money in reserves. Excess money has been found, thanks to new legislation that lets the county use road funds for sheriff’s patrols.
