KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — The Oregon Tech Owls finished a home series with Lewis-Clark State Monday at Kiger Stadium, with No. 9 L-C State leading 13-5 into the Owls’ half of the eighth inning.
Oregon Tech rallied, getting three singles to start the inning, scoring on a hit batter, an error and two walks to close within two runs, but Lewis-Clark State scored four in the ninth to seal a 17-11 victory and take the series.
Ryan Hayden and Zack Earle each went 3-for-6 with an RBI from the plate. Hayden Wolfe was charged with the loss for OIT to even his pitching record to 3-3.
The Owls head north for a series with the University of British Columbia starting Saturday.
