High School Round-Up: KU beats Henley in league opener

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Skyline Conference baseball got underway on Tuesday, with the Klamath Union Pelicans visiting the Henley Hornets

Kody Kuhlman finished with two doubles, scoring three RBI and threw a complete game win as KU’s pitcher, as the Pelicans defeated Henley 11-3. Marcus Paschal went 2-for-2 with a couple singles, three walks and hit one runner in.

The Pelicans (6-3, 1-0 Skyline) play next at Phoenix. The doubleheader broadcast begins at noon on 960 the Sports Legend. Henley (4-6, 0-1) plays at Hidden Valley.

In eight innings, Hidden Valley beat Mazama 4-3. The Mustangs scored three runs in the first inning to improve to 4-0 on the year. Mazama is 1-6.

In Burns, Lakeview lost both of its games 16-4 and 17-3 against the Hilanders. Lost River beat Bonanza 8-5 and Butte Falls at Prospect was postponed.
