KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Klamath County Sheriff’s office has accepted a grant that will help upgrade the mountaintop emergency radio system. The $80,000 Homeland Security grant is part of $3 million in grant funding that has come to Klamath County over the years as part of an ongoing project to replace outdated radio systems and connect networks. The new grant will help pay for ice shielding that was previously installed on the radios.
