Dennis John Bennett



Born October 5th, 1939 Oakland, Ca — Died March 24, 2012, Klamath Falls, OR

Dennis was born in Oakland Ca, grew up in Yreka Ca.

In 1958 Dennis was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies at 18 years of age. He continued to enjoy a career in baseball with the Boston Red Sox, NY Mets and the California Angels.

In 1970 he married his beautiful wife Terry.  They moved to Klamath Falls in 1970 where they have been proud business owners for the past 40 years.  Dennis spent many years playing in the Klamath softball league.  He also coached the game he loved for the Klamath Falls Falcons, and was an avid hunter which allowed him to enjoy the beautiful outdoors of Oregon.

Dennis and Terry raised their children in Klamath Falls.  Lisa and Gregg Sherrill, Blu, Dax, Zinn, Vanessa, Michael and Tish, Patrick, and Daniel Bennett and Lee and Tonya Vega, all of Klamath Falls. Also their special daughter who preceded him in death, Sherry Parker.  His beautiful grandchildren Taylor, Cameron, Brandon, Ashlynn, Logan , Justus, Sierra, Mason, Luke, Samuel,  Jasmyn, were the light of his life.

Dennis loved Klamath Falls and developed many lifelong friends.

Service will be Saturday, March 31st at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Home and Martin at 11:00 am.
