Track and Field: Triad girls finish second


CHICO, Calif. — Former Mazama graduate and Southern Oregon sophomore Mikayla Garrard posted Cascade Conference qualifying marks in three events, finishing fourth in the 100 meter dash (13.14), sixth in the 200 meter dash (26.66) and seventh in the long jump (4.94 meters) at Saturday’s Chico State Wildcat Invitational.

High School Track and Field

Triad girls track and field placed second at the Glendale Invitational Saturday. Sarah Estabrook and Kirsten Hankins finished first and second, respectively, in both the 1,500- and 3,000-meter races.

Gabe Ovgard won the 100 meters, with TJ Riblett second, as the Triad boys placed sixth.

Chiloquin freshman Eric Cooper placed second in the 3,000 meters, while Amber Gould was seventh in the javelin.
