Gems modify roster two months before season

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Getting ready for the June first season opener, the Klamath Falls Gems announced roster changes on Monday.

The West Coast League team added Nevada-Reno junior Jamison Rowe as an outfielder and incoming Cal freshman J.R. Kennedy of Anaheim.

The signings come with some lost players, as pitcher Steven Schoonover and outfielder Leo Sierra were injured and infielder Aaron Payne is heading to the Cape Cod League, no longer joining General Manager Chuck Heeman’s Gems.
